Auto update warning in RC2 did not work.

In RC2 the auto update warning for RC3 did not work. I Checked, in wincmd.ini there is a line AutoUpdateCheckBeta=1. The update was yesterday, so it should be signalled today. I don't know if it is fixed until RC4 or the final version is released.
