Not yet! The beta testers have not been informed of a new beta version.

Christian mentioned that the next major release (a release with new features and not just bug fixes) will be possibly late autumn or later this year.

Based on that I recon that the first beta release will be available to the beta testers in about 2-3 months from now. That is just speculations of course! ;)

Features planned/implemented for the next version (6.5)?

Post by *Helix751 »

I am curious about which will be the new features that will be implemented in the next version 6.5 of Total Commander.

I have read that some of them would be:

- Automatic plugin installation
- Content plugins (what are they?)

Sergio

Look at this link.
There are some points we have reasons to believe will be included in the next TC version.

2MrGhisler: Any news about any Beta release date ??? I consider TC 6.03 to be almost perfect version but I'm really mising CVS icons integration.

I really don't care about other features. I know you've succesfully implemented that in August... but no new release since then yet makes me feel bad :(

Christian is working hard on your Xmas present... ;) :P

We are currently on beta 8. The list of bugs is quite short now so as the final tweaks and additions. The delay was due to the increased number of new features small or big ones. V6.50 could easily have been a v7.0.

It certainly worth the waiting.

A God doesn't exist in the material world. Christian doesn't have a face. :) :D

Most important thing is that I do believe

2 1/2 weeks is not so long comparing to rest of eternal life with TC 6.5 :D
