Download from List
Hi,
I need some help downloading files from a list.
I have a list of files that I wish the download using FTP. The files are located in different folders. The list is stored in notepad on my local machine. Each row corresponds to my server's folder structure which looks like this: 0:/storage/00/01/0001849.htm
I'm using TC6.03a.
I tried Net-DownloadFromList then followed the instructions, ie, I provided the location of the list on my local machine, the directory where I want to store the files. The transfer box pops up and after a few seconds, a message indicates that the transfer failed with no further explanation.
The FTP connection was running and my remote directory was open at the root. I also modified the list so that it only displayed this path: storage/00/01/0001849.htm.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: Download from List
The entries in the list should look like this:canuk wrote: 0:/storage/00/01/0001849.htm
sheepdogftp://ftp.avm.de/cardware/fritzxusb.v20/ -> G:\verena\Fritz\fritzxusb.v20

Thanks for your suggestions.
Due to the large number of files, manually selecting individual files isn't practical. Each folder also contains many files that I want to leave on the server, so downloading individual folders will not work either.
I tried the suggested format, but the transfer still fails. "Tread download-Transfer Failed"
ftp://ftp.mysite.com/storage/00/01/0001849.htm -> C:\tmpArchive.htm
Any obvious problem with the above list format?
Thanks,

I only wanted you to do this so you can see the format of the download list for yourself.Due to the large number of files, manually selecting individual files isn't practical.
Mine looks like this:
Code: Select all
ftp://ftp.sac.sk/mirrors/sac/pack/upx125d.zip
ftp://ftp.sac.sk/mirrors/sac/pack/upx125l.tgz
ftp://ftp.sac.sk/mirrors/sac/pack/upx125w.zip
ftp://ftp.sac.sk/mirrors/sac/pack/nelite.zip

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
I just tried this one again:
there are two files,one wich I renamed, and one directory (with all subdirs).
So I guess there is another problem with your download. You can try my list. You can access anonymus with your email-address as password. It should work fine.
Maybe there's a prob with your ftp-server? Or perhaps with your ftp-presets?
Are you using a proxy?

ftp://ftp.avm.de/hist-deu.txt -> L:\test1\hist-deu2.txt

If the files are successfully downloaded there is an 'OK-' in front of line instead of ftp:canuk wrote:Is there any way to delete from a list after I've downloaded the files?
Code: Select all
OK-://ftp.avm.de/cardware/fritzx.usb/ -> G:\verena\Fritz\fritzx.usb
ftp://ftp.avm.de/cardware/fritzxusb.v20/ -> G:\verena\Fritz\fritzxusb.v20
So you could replace the ftp with OK- or delete the lines with the 'OK-' - I do not know exactly where your question points.

Yes it's by design.canuk wrote:Hi,
I checked the list of test files and all had "OK" in place of "FPT" and a copy was downloaded. However, the original remains on the server.
I think you cannot. You'll have to copy and after that to delete - as far as I know.How can I move the file, instead of downloading a copy?
