How do I incorporate miniview to Lister?
I recently found out about the miniview plugin for Lister. However, how exactly do I add this to Total Commander? At present the setting for non bmp files points to IrfanView. I wouldn't necessarily want to lose the functionality of IrfanView, but I would like to view gif and jpg files with the Lister.
Possible--

Hello !
- You could keep the associations for image-files other than *.BMP with IrfanView (or other: XnView, Uniview, both freeware too), and set Miniview in Lister as addon to view *.GIF - *.JPG - *.PNG only.
- Open Lister for any file >> Options >> Configure >> "Use IrfanView… " and give the location of MiniView via the [>>]
button.
- In the French language, there's "Use xxxView…" that is less confusing
- Then, you'll view GIF/JPG by F3 on the marked file, and other types by double-click or [Enter].
I asked for that tool originally for TC 16-bit; alas, that doesn't work yet, because a lack of resources from the Win32S API.
- You could also install the Plugin "Imagine" (please, see the Plugins forum)
Kind regards,
Claude

Have you forgotten about "search" option? I can't believe, not you
Here are to links where Clo says about the plugin:

The key word is "plugin". Can you tell plugin from external program, djk?[/face]

Hello !
¤ To be clear : "Miniview" is neither quite a plugin -since it's an EXE file- nor quite an external program, because it can't work as standalone. It works only with Lister.
- And you can get it easily from the "Tutorials" link in my sign. below (at the end of the TC-paragraph…)
Kind regards,
Claude

I see, thanx - just can't get from Wincomuser's post does he use IView integrated into Commander or not. It looks like he doesn't - "I would like to view gif and jpg files with the Lister".

Is that "cant" a typo?
But actually I can't see any point in using MiniView if one already has IView - it can be integrated into Commander as well and supports much more file types - I use them both with Imagine.[/face]

User's wish...
Is that "cant" a typo?

- I just replied to the Wincomuser's question…But actually I can't see any point in using MiniView if one already have IView
- I use XnView (DeLuxe and normal) and Imagine, indeed!

Just for the record, I've been away for a few days and I didn't read the replies following my last posting.
I installed Imagine and everything's fine. I also have IView in TC's settings in order to open image files by double clicking them or by pressing the Enter key.
Thanks again for the assistance.
