To reproduce:
1. Open an FTP connection.
2. In the menu: click "Commands" -> "Open Desktop Folder" (or run the cm_OpenDesktop command).
3. Click on the [ftp] folder - the last opened local folder i shown in the file panel.
Expexted result: A panel with a folder named [0:] should be opened.
The same approach works with the Breadcrumb Bar:
1. Open an FTP connection.
2. Click on the Breadcrumb Bar triangle at the left side of the current path field.
3. Hover the right side of the [ftp] item in the bottom of the Breadcrumb Menu - you will see the folder 0: - click on that, and the FTP connection will be shown in the file panel.
This [ftp] item in the virtual Desktop folder has been shown since TC 9.0b1 - and has always worked as described above - opening last shown local folder.

Can confirm, even when there are no FTP connections going to [ftp] from Virtual Desktop TC goes to last opened local folder.
English is not my native language.

The FTP folder is just a placeholder for the tree when TC is in a directory on an FTP server. You cannot open it directly.

Keep showing it in the tree, but what's the point of it being shown in the file list pane for \\Desktop?ghisler(Author) wrote: 2020-04-14, 09:52 UTC The FTP folder is just a placeholder for the tree when TC is in a directory on an FTP server. You cannot open it directly.
EDIT: It would IMO preferable to have this ftp "placeholder" as a functional (virtual) folder that lists the ftp connections, as this would keep the tree and the file pane functionally equivalent and consistent.

I agree. It would IMO preferable to have this ftp "placeholder" as a functional (virtual) folder that lists the ftp connections, as this would keep the tree and the file pane functionally equivalent and consistent.
