Let's say I need to find a file X.txt
I enter it in the field and specify the directory I need.
finds several such files and they are all in different folders, how do I delete these folders completely quickly enough?

Hi,

in Total Commander by using tool 'Everything' (please see my signature) --> almost real-time solution:

• Search in separate process... Alt+Shift+F7
• Search for:

  Code: Select all

  ev:child:X.txt (example1) OR ev:d: child:X.txt (example2)

• Press button "Feed to listbox"
• Press button with command: cm_ExchangeSelBoth -> ALL folders are marked for deletion...

Directly in 'Everything' --> Search results in real-time:

• Type in --> search box: child:X.txt
• ...
