Is there any feature in TC which can display the path inside a Windows shortcut?
My Windows XP context menu shows this but I seem to recall seeing the information being displayed in a text editor.

Re: Display shortcut path
You could define a custom column with a property of a content plug-in such as "Shortcut": http://totalcmd.net/plugring/shortcut.html (i am not a user of that plug-in, so i can't give any specific advice about it). Install the plug-in, and then right-click on the column header of either of the two file panes and select "Configure custom columns..." from the context menu and off you go setting up the columns you need/want.
If you rather look for a lister plug-in, there is also something on totalcmd.net that might float your boat, like: http://totalcmd.net/plugring/linkinfo.html (again, i am not a user of that plug-in). If that doesn't satisfy your needs either, you might want to poke around totalcmd.net for yourself to see whether there is a plug-in that better suits your needs.
(Note that both plug-ins are rather old. But unless Microsoft in their infinite wisdom changed the internal format of the LNK files -- well, everything is possible with Win10 -- they should hopefully just work fine.)
