0. Prepare two directories for the experiment: they must have a few same-named files, but with different attributes (e.g. on one side the file is read-only, on another it's hidden+system). After that, configure NTFS permissions for one of these directories, so that it was impossible to change file attributes there.
1. Open Sync Dirs dialog for comparing these two directories. Perform the comparing stage.
2. Select the files that have different attributes, right-click and choose "Copy file properties" command in the direction towards the "forbidden" directory.
3. In the auxiliary dialog make sure the "File attributes" checkbox is on; press OK.
4. The attributes, of course, remain uncnahged, but the problem is that TC does not report any error about it. The command is finished silently, without any messages, which leaves the impression that it went OK.
If I change attributes via the normal "Change attributes" dialog, and it fails, TC shows the error, as expected. So I think, Sync Dirs should show the error too.
Tested in TC 9.51 32- and 64-bit; Win7 x64.

Re: Sync Dirs, Copy file attributes, no permissions - silent failure
Indeed there is currently no feedback for the function "Copy file attributes", and it's currently not planned.
