Hello all.
I tried searching for my "issue", but no joy... then again, I am lousy at coming up with the best search terms.
I'd like to know if it is possible to copy files through a PC's USB ports, from one Android phone directly to another?
I've tried, but it does nothing... not even give me a message of any sort.
I can copy from one phone to the PC and from there to the other phone, but that not only doubles the tasks, but it also forces me to time-consuming path creation on the PC when I am copying files from multiple-level subdirs.
Cheers.

I can't copy ANY file using "Computer" entries for both devices.
I can copy SOME files using WindowsMediaAudio2 plugin.
You can get it here - https://www.ghisler.com/plugins.htm (direct link - https://plugins.ghisler.com/fsplugins/wpdplug.zip)

Re: Copy phone-phone thru PC's USB?
Thank you, Gral, for your response and suggestion.
At least now I know that it is not me not finding how to do something.
I also re-found the Android app, TC WiFi, which will do the job as well,
so between the two, when need be, I'll be able to work things our.
Cheers
PS - If at any given time anyone finds a better way or if OSs change such that it becomes possible without any apps, please post your finding. TIA.

Re: Copy phone-phone thru PC's USB?
Well, here I can copy between two phones, just by opening each phone via the drive dropdown menu or the brive buttons for each phone (u1 and u2)If at any given time anyone finds a better way
Phones:
HTC One M8 w Android 6 <-> Samsung Galaxy S20 w Android 10
EDIT
The test above was made with Windows 7 - I have now made some more tests - phone-to-phone works for me on Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 but NOT on Windows 10 (20H2)
I cannot copy phone-to-phone using the MediaAudio2 plugin on any of the OS's mentioned above.

E.g. MP3. But i'm not sure if it doesn't depend on the directories or devices (Android version?)
Tested with:
Samsung - Android 4.2.2
Xiaomi - Android 9
Windows 10 (2004) 19041.329

Hmm, I cannot copy .mp3 files either if I open both phones via the MediaAudio2 plugin.
But if I open one device via the drive dropdown menu or via the drive buttons (u1 and u2) and then open the other phone via the MediaAudio2 plugin, then I can copy between the two phones - also under Windows 10.
