Why can't I sync directories? Trying to backup my phone

Hi I'm new here and hope you can help! I love Total Commander and have used the sync dir command with no problems before. But why won't it do it from the internal storage on my phone (recognised as a drive) to the folder I am trying to copy it to on my computer? I thought it might be my old version so I downloaded the latest version and got the same error message ever time. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

(PS This is a Sony Xperia XZ1 connected via USB. I can look in the folders manually, but just can't compare to see what's left to copy across).

Try plugin Windows Media Audio 2 by Ghisler himself.
This works fine for me, even for other than audio files.

Media Audio 2 works fine for copying and moving, but you cannot use it with the Synchronize tool.

The Synchronize tool does not support phone access via the drive dropdown / drive button bar either.

Thank you, I see you say it doesn't work...But can you help me install the plugin anyway? It's asking what program to open the file with when I click the wpdplug.wfx64 file. The readme file says you just need to click it to install it but that doesn't appear to be happening. I've tried opening with windows media player and total commander. How would I know on total commander if it's installed? Thank you!

Basically, just double click (while using the TC !!!) the downloaded archive and follow the dialogs.
"WFX"-Plugins can be used from within the "Network Neighborhood" ( [\]-button, on the right after all the drive buttons)

Media Audio 2 works fine for copying and moving, but you cannot use it with the Synchronize tool.

Well, Synchronize tool works fine with "Media Audio 2" ... at least for me (MOTO E4 <-> Windows 10)
Sure, there is a little problem with setting the original timestamp on the phone, but it is the same for copying.

I tried again with Media Aodio 2 and now it works! Sorry for not testing thoroughly enough

But one thing though - you cannot use the "by content" option.

You have to doubleclick the downloaded plugin-archive (wpdplug.zip).

And make sure "Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "Packer" -> "Treat archives like directories" is enabled.
