Coping to external disks

Coping files to external disk (Seagate 4TB) sometimes fails, TC hangs and cannot be canceled, I have to remove it using Alt+Ctrl+Del to kill TC process, then plug the disk again to the USB port (Asus UX430 notebook) and start TC. This happens from time to time, and it is probably Win 10 problem, perhaps not enough power for such disk, but it usually works well, so I am puzzled.
Despite disc connection problem stopping or cancelling TC should work.

It really sounds like a problem wit not enough power. Do you use a USB3 or USB2 port on the notebook?
