Apparently I must be missing something important here - a standard search for "origin" doesn't show up anything but when opening af file location through the task manager I get "C:\Users\jb\AppData\Local\Origin".
Shouldn't it be showing that folder by default even though some of the folders are hidden (the advanced tab has all fields marked)?
strange: search doesn't show up anything

Re: strange search
"AppData" is a hidden folder. TC will not search in hidden folders unless you enable the display of hidden folders via Configuration - Options - Display.

The tool 'Everything' finds hidden files/folders by default and in real time.

Re: strange search
Aah, I was blinded by the belief that TC was already searching in hidden files as enabled in the Advanced tab (even though greyed out). Therefore I didn't investigate further in configuration.ghisler(Author) wrote: 2021-01-07, 16:54 UTC "AppData" is a hidden folder. One could argue that showing hidden files in the context of normal file exploring is about Display but NOT in the context of searching. Then it's about search extensiveness. I would imagine that many users, i.e. non-savvy users, havn't even realized what they havn't found

Anyways, many thanks for the quick clarification ghisler

Ciao.
