Try to left click on the tab, and choose "Lock this tab". Is that what you wanted?
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

No, I think InFinite wants to have ONLY locked tabs. I'm afraid that is not possible (yet). You can only choose between displaying tabs or not displaying tabs.

Good idea, anyway. E.g. the "directory menu" could have the option to be displayed as locked tabs - without new tabs created when the active directory is changed.

In the next version, you can lock tabs which allow dir changes. Pressing the "\" button will bring you back to the saved dir of this tab, as well as switching to a different tab and back!

Nice. That will make work with tabs much easier.

A cleaver tweak on tabs' behaviour. I presume most users will follow this working behaviour but just in case... will this new approach be configurable Christian?

Actually there will be two context menu items for tabs, "Lock this tab", and "Locked, but directory changes allowed", so you will have the choice.

Hmmm! I understood the feature's behaviour differently from your text on your previous post.

This new approach actually implements an older wish I had posted so great news! Thanks!
