Right Click - Copy and Paste Time
I tried a search, but could not find anything, so I apologize if this has already been discussed.
I'd like to be able to right click a file to copy its time and date stamp, then right click another file (or files) to apply that date stamp. Perhaps because of the way I file things, esp. from email attachments and the message itself, I'd like to keep the files together by the date they were sent to me.
I know I can use the change attributes to set the time, and I also have used Ninotech's Date Edit utility, but either requires me to write down the time/date of the file that I am trying to match, then manually apply it to the new file(s).
So a right click copy then paste would seem to be a great timesaver for me.
Is there such a thing?

1. Place focus on a file you want to copy time and date from.
2. Open "Attributes" dialog, mark "&Change modification date/time:" checkbox, hit "OK".
3. Select all the files you want to change time and date AND the file you copy time and date from.
4. Open "Attributes" dialog, mark "&Change modification date/time:" checkbox, hit "OK".
And of course you can copy this way only a timestamp Commander working with.[/face]

Jon Canale,
I actually wrote a small util for this - copies the timestamp of [parameter 1] to [parameter 2]. If you wish I can send it to you (or anyone) by email, it's 20 KB large (yes it could have been smaller).

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Maybe Hackers Plugin does that?

Anyway, I uploaded it to http://thehacker.host.sk/myfiles/ - it's timecopy.exe. It takes two parameters - source file and target file. Have fun!

Did I mentioned somewhere it should? %)
But you can use Branch mode if that files located on the same partition or just copy donor file to appropriate location.[/face]
