Selected font not used in the "Compare contents" window

Post by *leowang »

It's a long standing problem.

In "Compare contents" window, no matter which font I chose, TC always uses system default fixed width font to display the differences, in either text mode or binary mode. The font size is changed after I choose a different size, but the font type (the name) is always the same.

The font may not contain the characters you are trying to display, e.g. when you choose a font with only Latin letters and try to show Cyrillic or Chinese. Windows will then do so-called font substitution: It will take the missing characters from a different font which contains them.
