Why missing WCMD_ENG.LNG in install package?

Over the many many years not in the install package the file WCMD_ENG.LNG, but the default language is the english.

That is because the default English is build into the .exe file.

You only need a WCMD_ENG.LNG if you want to modify the dialog. You can always download the latest (not beta) WCMD_ENG.LNG here: https://plugins.ghisler.com/languages/wcmd_eng.zip

Yup. However, download link provides English files for TC 9.5.
Would be better if each Total Commander release provides English language files.
Or even for each BETA (that everyone can update translation or use it in TC related projects).

The new strings are extracted from totalcmd.exe

FYI the WCMD_DEU.LNG is always updated also in beta versions - so you can find new strings by comparing with the previous WCMD_DEU.LNG

But I agree, it would be easier if current WCMD_ENG.LNG (incl. betas) was always available.

But this is hardly a bug, more like a missing feature.

Thx for many answers.
But the questions was "Why missing WCMD_ENG.LNG in install package?" for mr. Ghisler ( ) and not for others.
I think if the package is used as default language the english, it should have the original resource files in the install file.
Excuse me (mea culpa), i am not german, not french, and not english ;( Onli undersdtand english about 60-70 %s. Bad for me.

The English language is built into the EXE file itself, so it works even when no language file is present. It would confuse the user if he had two English translations to choose from.
