Off topic: I search a tool to sort all lines in a textfile
Does anybody know a free or shareware tool that opens a given text file and sorts all lines in alphabetical order ?
Thanks

EmEditor, an excellent text editor.
Two plugins of it can do alphabetical sorting, one for ascending order and one for descending order.
You can find this shareware along with its plugins here:

Thanks for all suggestions.
The command line solution with 'sort' is simple and came not to my mind. But it is not usable for me (as I found out while trying ) - because I dont need the sorting of the whole file but sorting of some sections.
After reading all the other proposals I found that Textpad should have such a sorting function. Since I use Textpad for at least two years it never occured to me that it could contain this feature. And after the hint I used the help and found out: it's true.
So thanks again for your suggestions - my problem is solved.
