Show program icons only in thumbnail view?

Hi, I want to use "Show icons to the left of the filename: All" for better speed, and only show program icons (like "All associated+EXE/LNK") in the thumbnail view. Is it possible via the configuration or some built-in commands? Thanks a lot!

Sorry but for what is a thumbnail view good if you always see the associated program icon for all files.

According to the manual: "All associated+EXE/LNK (slow)" extracts an icon for each EXE and LNK file. I'd like to see program icons only in the thumbnail view (when I switch to it, since extracting icons is noticeably slow), but not in the normal full list view.

That seems to currently not be possible.

It calls for a new setting like: "EXE/LNK only in thumbnail view" -> viewtopic.php?p=400723#p400723
