to tag some files is there only the file comment ?
hi
is there only the file comment to tag some files ?
in a scenario to copy 23TB of files and folder , the only way to tag these files before copying them is file comment ?
can i know where does total commander store the file comment data?
and why don't add a tag feature ?
could be very useful
thanks

It is stored in either a descript.ion file or a files.bbs file in the current directory - the file is marked "hidden". Which of the two types that is used, and the coding if using descript.ion is configured in "Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "Operation" -> "File comments".can i know where does total commander store the file comment data?
You can use Windows' file tagging system for supported files by right clicking the file and choosing "Properties"

You can use Windows' file tagging system for supported files by right clicking the file and choosing "Properties"
but total commander's author could add this feature about tagging files , maybe with different custom labels
it's avaible only on the recent w10 , i have't the possibility to tag file under w7 or w10 outside image/photos fileYou can use Windows' file tagging system for supported files by right clicking the file and choosing "Properties"
I have these settings about comments
is there a compontent that can do it , tag with labels
thanks

Perhaps try VirtualPanel, just "copy" the files there (actually just link to the files) and then copy the "files" from there when you want to start the actual copy operation.
