Do plugins automatically check for updates?
If not, is there a central repository of latest versions of plugins?
NB I have tried using "TC Plugins Manager" (TCPlugMan) but I get the warning Language file "English.lng" not found, which doesn't make sense since neither the plugin zip nor TC have such a file. TCPlugMan hasn't been updated for eight years.
many thanks

Re: Automatic update of plugins?
There is a Language sub-dir in the TCPlugman archive, so you installed it wrong.
Download it from Totalcmd.net and you will see.

There are 2 sources for plugins

Re: Automatic update of plugins?
You are right, thank you.
I see that there is no "update" option so TC Plugins Manager doesn't help with my original question. Do I have to manually check for plugin updates? How do I find the version numbers of my current plugins?

Re: Automatic update of plugins?
Ah, I have found the tweak in Plugman.ini to do that, although it is not working for sftpplug
Re: Automatic update of plugins?
There is Total Updater, https://totalcmd.net/plugring/tcplugindb.html, but it seems its database isn't updated anymore.
Re: Automatic update of plugins?
You have listed two main plugin sources. Other sources are listed on Total Commander wiki.Horst.Epp wrote: 2021-05-26, 10:54 UTC There are 2 sources for plugins
