Deleting files

Post by *FatPlank »

I've been using this program under its different guises for over 25 years and couldn't imagine working without it, but lately I've been continually annoyed by having to confirm 3 or 4 times, in different ways, about every file I want to delete.
Could this be being caused by another program, or is there a way to cut it back to one confirmation at least?

First of all you can disable these 3 settings:
"Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "Misc." -> "Get confirmation before":
"Deleting non-empty directories"
"Overwriting/Deleting read only files"
"Overwriting/Deleting hidden/system files"

Then - if you are deleting to Recycle bin - you can disable Windows' confirmation dialog, by configuring the Recycle bin, and you can set TC's VistaDelete parameter in wincmd.ini to 1 - see: https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=402191#p402191
