Re: is there a way to copy file/folder keeping the modified time/date ?
Total Commander already does this, both on Windows and Android. If it doesn't work:
1. On Windows, some background virus scanners can prevent the copying of the modified date/time, because they block the copied file to scan it. It may help to use the Explorer copy method in this case (Configuration - Options - Copy/Delete).
2. On Android, it only works on newer versions like Android 10. An Android bug is preventing it on older versions.

Have you tried the Explorer method for copying? Since these Antivirus programs are only tested with the Explorer, using the Explorer copy method should work also in Total Commander.

just another test , i have tried explorer mothod too , but with kaspersky the dates are not kept
weird because with xyplorer copying file , well it keeps the dates even with kaspersky
tc can keep the date with eset antivirus
could you test it please ?
i have tested with windows 10 pro 64bit and tc 10.00 64bit
thanks

Please report the bug to Kaspersky. They probably added an exception for Xyplorer but not for Total Commander.

Stop, stop - Are we for sure talking about the only MODIFIED time?
because this subpart of time marks of any file - ARE preserved in fact!
As by Kaspersky so and by any other AV engine which I could test here.
Maybe we confused it with CREATED/OPENED time? both these marks are changed of course.
And it does not matter have I any AV engine or not...

Yes we do - some virus scanners can indeed cause this problem. Are we for sure talking about the only MODIFIED time?
