I've been a registered user since 1996, and was an original Norton Commander 1.0 user from the DOS days. People when they're looking over my shoulder are typically amazed by how fast I navigate using TC (vs. Explorer). I was teaching a class once in Norway (back when SET was trying to become the next ECommerce standard), and had my laptop hooked up to the overhead display. Someone asked me a question that required that I take a look at the source code to answer, so I quickly navigated the file tree and opened up my trusty editor (Multiedit, which was mapped to my F4 key). The people in the room were amazed at how fast it all was.
Yesterday I had a coworker borrow my MP3 player to transfer some big files to/from her laptop. I happen to be looking over her shoulder to make sure she got the files okay. It was painful watching her open one folder in Explorer using the mouse, context menu to "copy" the file into the buffer (much like when someone cuts and pastes), then open the other window, the "paste" the file there. I can't say for sure how long it took, but I can say for sure that it was seemed like several orders of magnitude longer than the time it would have taken me to perform the same task in TC. Anyway, amazing job Christian, and thanks for a great product.

Thanks! Many people only know this copy/paste thing, e.g. from copying text in Word, that's why Microsoft seems to favor this method...
