Ann: HTTP SmartBrowserPlugin 1.0 released!
I would like to take the opportunity to announce the release of a new HTTP Browser plugin. It is based on Fabio Chelly's excellent HTTP Browser plugin but uses a different software architecture (same as POP3/SMTP EmailPlugin) which allows us to make it fully compatible to all Windows and Total Commander versions and to provide additional features (Resuming, direct downloads, settings dialog etc. ...see webpage). You can download it at:
http://www.acd-group.com/Softwaredevelopment/HTTPPlugin
Note: We did several tests with all kinds of webservers but nevertheless this is the first release so it may contain bugs. Please send all bugs and suggestions to: support@acd-group.com

[face=courier]I'm sorry, but it doesn't work for me (neither directly nor through proxy) in now way. I get this message every time I try to open some URL:

Cannot parse file: Content typeis not text/html!
DISCONNECT \http://www.ukr.net/~norad
_______________end_of_transmission________________
I use default configuration.
And two more things.
"Quick connection" dialog makes Commander unavailable from Task bur if I move focus to some other window. I have to use "Alt"+"Tab" to get focus back.
"Edit bookmarks" use associated editor, but not the one configured in Commander. It's strange.

This is a compatibility problem with some webservers. Unfortunatly they do not declare the content type of a html file correctly as "text/html" so the plugin does not try to parse the file contents... I will change it in the next version...Black Dog wrote:[face=courier]I'm sorry, but it doesn't work for me (neither directly nor through proxy) in now way. This is a window-handle problem. I will try to find better solution/work around...Black Dog wrote:[face=courier]

The plugin calls the ini file directly (in the same way as if you double click or press enter on an ini file). Unfortunatily there is no way to tell TC to open a file with TC's associated file editorBlack Dog wrote:[face=courier]

It would be great.

Well, I don't know how, but Sergey Zharski did it in MARC, actually that's why I mentioned this...

What about www.ghisler.com? This should work at least?
How do I know the path to TC'sIniFile if it was set with the "/i=TCWCIniFile.ini" command line parameter and not via registry settings?

It works
. But it shows incorrect time for all "files" (+02:00 to my local).

Suggest user to set it on the first plugin run - "Would you like to use this editor?"
