In some listboxes of Total Commander, for example the one used in "Select drives" dialog of Find Files tool, or the file list in Synchronize directories, it is possible to select multiple items. With mouse only or keyboard only, it's possible to select some group of items which are located next to each other (by holding Shift+ArrowDown/ArrowUp with keyboard, or moving the mouse down or up while left or left+right mouse buttons are pressed).
However, the selection of items located not consequently seems to be possible only with mouse+keyboard together: by pressing Ctrl+Left mouse button on each desired item. Is there a way to do this only with mouse or only with keyboard in such listbox controls?

These TC listboxes use standard multi-extended selection mode derived from standard Windows listboxes. I'm afraid this selection mode doesn't support multiple non-contiguous selection by either keyboard or mouse only.

Keyboard: Hold down insert key until first block selected, then go to start of second block with cursor keys, then insert key again.
Mouse: When using left mouse button selection mode, you can click on the file icons to select files not in a range.
When using right mouse button selection mode, use right mouse click+drag.

It's not about the selection in TC's panels but in the Search (Select drives) and Synchronize directories functions.

Sorry, I saw the "Listboxes in TC" and assumed that it also included the two main listboxes.
The other boxes use standard Windows selection schemes, where you need to use Ctrl+Click and Ctrl+Shift+Click for multiple blocks.

Can you add some keyboard-only and mouse-only ways for selection of multiple blocks there? For example for mouse, independent selection of single items could be done either using just Left mouse button or Right+Left mouse buttons (currently both of these, while moving the pointer up or down, select the block of items)...ghisler(Author) wrote: 2021-09-09, 10:26 UTCThe other boxes use standard Windows selection schemes, where you need to use Ctrl+Click and Ctrl+Shift+Click for multiple blocks.

If it were easy to add, I would have added it a long time ago. The problem is that the Windows extended selection interferes with what I try to add, so I would have to do everything manually as in the regular file panels.
