I am ordering files on my NAS. While Synology is not able to queue file operations, I used Total Commander for this.
When queuing file operations, Total Commander very often not respond.
There is no response for minutes.
I was using TC 10.x and I gave up due to these delays.
It then used 9.22, which had a better performance.
Sometimes I had to wait for some time, but it continued after a minute or 2.
But I got to the same stage.
Total Commander not responding for already 20 minutes.

I know that Total Commander is doing something during these delays, I am pretty confident that it will come back.
But: Isn't there any chance that you give some user (or logging) information, what the program is doing during this time.
Some signs of life?
P.S. It has just come back after 20 minutes.
Queue Operations: How much "Total Commander Not Responding" is tolerable?

doggi1,
Try unchecking Configuration - Options - Operation - Calculate space occupied by subdirectories - before copying/deleting.
