TotalCommander is hidding all my dot files/folders
How can I show dot files or dot folders?
I have several .git folders and TC is ignoring them.
I don't have any filter and show hidden files and system files is checked.
I can go inside those folders if I type them manually on the browse bar but they never appear on the window.

Did you accidentally add them to the ignore list (see settings dialog)?

NeV3rKilL,
Are you perhaps connected to an FTP server?
Net - FTP Show Hidden Files.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

.git folders usually have the "hidden" attribute. To see them, go to menu Configuration - Options - Display and choose the option to show hidden files.

So the hidden attribute is most likely not the reason....show hidden files and system files is checked.

Re: TotalCommander is hidding all my dot files/folders
It depends on whether he has enabled them in Total Commander or the Explorer. I had cases where users showed them in the Explorer and were surprised that TC didn't show them.

Sure, that could be what NeV3rKilL meant, even though those options are worded very differently in Explorers Setup.ghisler(Author) wrote: 2021-11-29, 15:02 UTC It depends on whether he has enabled them in Total Commander or the Explorer. Re: TotalCommander is hidding all my dot files/folders
I have the same issue now.
Total Commander settings are set to show system and hidden folders, but still no .git folder is shown for me.
I still can "cd .git" into them via the command bar at the bottom.
Any idea what could cause that?

Is there no entry in the ignore list (cm_IgnoreConfig)?

I get this when I accidentally press a hotkey that executes a script to add missing entries to this list. Or when I forget to remove the entry after the test.
