I can no longer open certain jpg photos in TC

Hello,

Can anyone help me with advice.
I can no longer open certain jpg photos in TC.
He writes on the screen that there may not be enough space on the computer - that's not true. This happens in the WINDOWS photo viewer.
Elsewhere, they open without a problem.

First of all, beside OS and TC info (what Horst.Epp wrote) we need also know something about these JPG files with examples uploaded if possible and how EXACTLY error message look. Maybe they are just extremely large images on a 32-bit system or lack of physical memory (even if on 64-bit?)

Thanks for all the tips.
I use windows 10 home and 64 bit system.
Directly from windows, the same photos normally open.
They also open in all other programs only in TC no.

And how do you try to open the photos? Do you double-click on them and let the program associated with the file type in Windows open the file, or have you made an internal association for the file type in TC (Menu: "Files" -> "Internal Associations (Total Commander Only)"), or do you press F3 to view the file in TC's Lister?

Does it also happen if you start TC with a fresh .ini file (for example start TC with the parameter: /i=drive:\path\fresh.ini )?

Are you perhaps running TC elevated (as administrator, there will then be a ^ after your name in TC's Title bar)?

Yes I double click on jpg and than i get this:

The windows system cannot display the photo because there may not be enough memory on the computer.

But the memory is enough and some other photos that have been saved before and are much larger normally open.

Since I'm not a computer expert, it's not clear to me what to do.
Petermed Can I make short video with my phone and send it to you to see what happens?

You don't need phone to make video on Windows 10 - just press ALT+WIN+R - then you can find video in "Users\(username)\Videos\Captures"
And would be good upload video on some sharing site to make available to all.
Also consider upload example of "faulty" image if contains no any sensitive data.

"The windows photo viewer cannot open photos because there may not be enough disk space"

When I open the photos on the right site of screen it opens them normally.
When I try to open the photos on the left, however, it doesn’t work.

Now I noticed that it opens normally photos taken before December 1, 2021, but not after that date.
