Directory hotlist with filter quick-search

Hi

I often use the directory hotlist, but want to make it faster.
I have added shortcuts with putting "&" in the title, but still find it to slow to use.
Is there a way to filter the list by just starting typing, in the same way that you can do in one of the two file-panes.

I though about make my own links-folder (with a shortcut like ctrl+L) and create all my shortcuts as .lnk-files, that would also work fine.

Any suggestions or tips?

No, there is not. TC uses a standard Windows popup menu for the directory hotlist and OOTB this doesn't provide any filter functionality.

It's been suggested multiple times to add a filter, or "find as you type" thing to it. I don't remember if Ghisler has said anything when these suggestions came up.

I use the Everything AHK tool JumpToFolder for this.
It opens Everything and I find my target in seconds.
Enter on the file or folder opens it in the active side of TC.

Btw. this also allows to use Everything in Open / Save dialogs
