Search only selected folders

Post by *LTN »

I use the search function (Alt-F7) a lot, but I'm missing the possibility to skip the search in certain folders, ex. "Temperary Internet Files", "Temp", and sometimes even "Windows" including subfolders.

Is it somehow possible to leave those out of a "total" harddisc search, so that it will take less time?

If not I hope that Christian will consider adding a possibility to flag certain folders (I can type or select them myself) that I wish to skip in a search. The function should however be fast to select, otherwise choosing folders to skip will take longer than a total search...

Press F1 in the Search dialog and look for New:...

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Thanks - quick answer

Damn I didn't see in the help - bommer

However I have an additional question. If I in the search line type: *.jpg | "Documents and Settings\" "alledata\" "alledata - foto\" then TC search as asked, but if I wish to use the same searchstring another day, then is has probably left the history of 20 searchstrings. Is it somehow possible to save it more permanently so that I can always get exactly that searchstring?

You can see a 3rd tab (Load/Save) on the search dialog. Use it!
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!
