There are different desktops:
Your personal Desktop folder: cd %$DESKTOP% or cd %${B4BFCC3A-DB2C-424C-B029-7FE99A87C641}% or cd %userpofile%\Desktop
Common Desktop folder: cd %$COMMON_DESKTOPDIRECTORY% or cd %${C4AA340D-F20F-4863-AFEF-F87EF2E6BA25}% or cd %public%\Desktop
Virtual Desktop (kombination of the two above: cd :: or cm_OpenDesktop

I recommend not using the Virtual desktop in TC - it is very restricted what TC can do in virtual folders.
