Re: TC10.50b2x32: Extra drive space - H and V values selected by default
Kind of Solved.
The "Extra drive space:" only shows up if "Show drive buttons" is enabled in Layout -- which I typically don't have.
I thought the drive space would also apply to the drive combobox -- but it does not.
I would appreciate some extra space around the combobox as well... any opinions on this?

Confirmed - and that is a REALLY bad descision by the author, imho. I cannot think of any other configuration option in TC that is hidden (maybe disabled though) when not visible in TC's current Layout. The "Extra drive space:" only shows up if "Show drive buttons" is enabled in Layout

If that line of logic should be followed, then Icons -> "Show '!' on hidden/system files" should also be hidden if Display -> "show hidden files" and "show system files" is disabled

Related options should be presented as related on the same config page, otherwise it's hard to understand their dependency.

It's a Windows bug. I have to manually unselect them to change it.

For me these fields are selectedin TC 10.50b2 x86.
- Extra space: Horizontal:
- Extra drive space: H
- Extra drive space: V
I informed Mr. Ghisler today by email and received the information that this problem will be solved.
This problem already existed in TC 10.00 and was also solved by him at that time.

Re: TC10.50b2x32: Extra drive space - H and V values selected by default
Selection problem fixed in TC10.50b3 x86 darkMode.
Appearance problem not solved in TC10.50b3 x86 darkMode:
The appearance of the extra drive space combo boxes still depends on whether the drive buttons are activated or not.
Even more strange:
If I (1st) de/select the buttons in layout, (2nd) press apply, and (3rd) go to icons, the combo boxes are visible or not as expected. Ok.
But: If I (1st) de/select the buttons in layout and (2nd) go to icons, the combo boxes visibility is not yet adjusted. Even if I (3rd) press apply then, they still stay as they were before, even if that is incorrect according to whether the drive buttons are activated or not.
My suggestion is still to keep them visible independent from any other option in the configuration.

This is intentional. They do absolutely nothing when drive buttons are disabled. This is documented in the help too.The appearance of the extra drive space combo boxes still depends on whether the drive buttons are activated or not.
