Win11 issues - Logitech and Photos
Two issues on the new computer running Windows 11:
1) I have Logitech M705 mouse, with SetPoint installed. In TC the middle button doesn't do anything (it's set to behave as double-click). At first I thought it was drivers/Setpoint incompatibility, but since this works elsewhere I guess it's something else.
2) For image file types, most extensions should open in Photos. However, the same file opens in Photos when started from File Explorer, and in Windows Photo Viewer when started from TC.

Re: Win11 issues - Logitech and Photos
1) Don't run TC " as Administrator".
For security reasons Windows prevents some interactions between applications running with non-elevated rights (Setpoint.Exe) an elevated processes (TC running as administrator).
2) add a line "ReplacePhotoApp=0" in wincmd.ini section [Configuration]

Re: Win11 issues - Logitech and Photos
Keep in mind that when the app is launched from TC, it's not possible to cycle through the images (in the same folder) within the app. This has been extensively discussed on the forum, and it's the reason why TC ignores the file type association by default in this particular case.

Re: Win11 issues - Logitech and Photos
Thanks for the explanations! Having migrated from Windows 7 directly to Windows 11 (with occasional Win10 tablets along the way), it's been a very bumpy road, to say the least.
I guess I'll leave the photos behavior as it is, for now. I used to have one quite ancient version of ACDSee on the old computer, and it was quite efficient. This and WinAmp seem to be the hardest choices.

Does this also include drag&drop not working between TC panes and regular File Explorer windows?HolgerK wrote: 2022-02-25, 20:34 UTC For security reasons Windows prevents some interactions between applications running with non-elevated rights (Setpoint.Exe) an elevated processes (TC running as administrator).
Re: Win11 issues - Logitech and Photos
If TC is running as administrator (or under a different user), then yes.commodore wrote: 2022-04-24, 13:11 UTCDoes this also include drag&drop not working between TC panes and regular File Explorer windows?

Only the Drag&Drop direction from non-elevated to elevated process is affected.commodore wrote: 2022-04-24, 13:11 UTC Does this also include drag&drop not working between TC panes and regular File Explorer windows?
E.g.: Running TC elevated / Explorer is running non elevated.
-> Drag&Drop from TC to Explorer (or any other program) should work.
-> Drag&Drop from Explorer to TC is not allowed.
What always should work is Copy&Paste.

Re: Win11 issues - Logitech and Photos
How come Windows Photo Viewer very often doesn't open an image, and just displays "Windows Photo Viewer can't display this picture because there might not be enough memory available[...]"? I never noticed such an issue with any other image viewers.
Re: Win11 issues - Logitech and Photos
Because of the ICC profile. See:commodore wrote: 2022-05-05, 16:12 UTC How come Windows Photo Viewer very often doesn't open an image, and just displays "Windows Photo Viewer can't display this picture because there might not be enough memory available[...]"?
