Hi,
I'm solving an interesting problem:
I use Logitech Spotlight presenter for PowerPoint presentations with function:
- show dot automatically on the extended monitor
- after the next slide, the dot always appears in the middle of the screen
https://www.logitech.com/de-de/products/presenters/spotlight-presentation-remote.910-004862.html
When I run a PPTX file through windows explorer or FreeCommander ... Spotlight working fine
When I run a PPTX file through Total Commander .. Spotlight working, but without the described functions.
( the point appears on the primary screen - not on extended, after next slide the point appears on last position )
TCM 8, 9, 10 - the same problem... only TCM 7.5 working fine with SPotlight...
(the powerpoint version has no effect)
where can be the problem?

Re: TCM vs Logitech Spotlight problem
Do you run TC as administrator? If so, don't run TC as admin and it should work normally.

Re: TCM vs Logitech Spotlight problem
It was just a guess that this Logitech software somehow interacts with (e.g. sends messages to) PowerPoint. For security reasons, Windows doesn't allow such communication from non-elevated to programs running elevated (as admin). There are some exceptions like clipboard functions and such.
If you run TC (or Free Commander, or Explorer++) as admin, and open some document from there, the associated program will be run elevated, too! This also applies to programs run from TC's button bar or start menu. And I think you can guess the implications that brings, in terms of security and program interaction. The latter you have witnessed yourself.
