Please, why is part ".B" highlighted as different when this part of the line is the same in both compared files?
Even after editing Sync:3 method.
Ad the 3rd part of the picture:
After ticking [ON] the "Show only differences, with extra lines", the right side becomes 'selected' and the is no way to unselect it back (except by jumping into the Edit mode and back).

It's described in the help:
A.BB and D.BB would match the .BB because it's 3 characters long.
This is done to better find inserted/deleted words instead of just characters.
A.B and D.B would not match the .B because it is too short.if there was a difference, a search was made for at least 3 matching characters
