Solved [TC 150rc3] Different result when searching for *|*\ and other terms with and witout Everything

If I in the Find Files dialog search for *|*\ without 'Everything' enabled I get the same result AS when searching for * with "Search in subdirectories" set to "Current dir only" - as expected.

But if I enable 'Everything' I don't get the files in current dir and I only get the some of the folders in current dir - dirs with the same name (without extension) as files in current dir are not found.

If I search for *|test\ I get the same result with and without 'Everything'

If I search for test\* I don't get any results with 'Everything' disabled, but I get all the files in test\ if 'Everything' is enabled.

Is there a chance that search results with and without 'Everything' could be more identical?

Sorry, it's not possible to get 100% identical results with and without everything because the parameters aren't exactly the same. I don't have any idea what parameters I would have to use to get the exact same results here.

I'm sorry but you were right - I checked the problem in the debugger, and it wasn't in the call to Everything - I was already sending a different call and did the filtering internally. The problem was that the *\ part was matching also the base directory of the search, so it was excluded too. I will fix it. But in general, it's not always possible to get 100% identical results.

The first part should be fixed now too in TC 10.50 final, please test it!

The second part (test\*) was due to changes default settings in Everything, so I can't fix it.
