Builtin ftp not working in 64 bit TC
Hello,
On win10 64bit the builtin ftp works fine with 32 bit TC, but not with 64 bit TC (I only see empty directory).

No such problem here - wich version of TC are you using?

Empty directory usually means a firewall problem - maybe you allowed the 32-bit version previously. Changing the connection to use passive mode should help.

Thanks Ghisler, the passive mode solved my problem

IMHO passive mode should be set as default long time ago.

Re: Builtin ftp not working in 64 bit TC
I have a related question.
Whether or not I check passive mode, sometimes I can connect with FTP right away, sometimes it takes up to three tries. Sometimes I get a "Port Command Failed!" message, and sometimes the directory is blank. Hitting refresh two or three times brings back the files in the directory. Same thing happens when I try to move a file into the directory. I believe this started when my ISP, IONOS, made some change to their server.
FileZilla doesn't behave this way but Total Commander is much faster! I've tried every setting I can think of. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Unfortunately this information is insufficient to analyze the problem.
You would have to either post a log here of the errors, or send it to me by e-mail.

Will do. Does TC create a log that I can send? I can't find one. Or should I send screenshots of the errors?ghisler(Author) wrote: 2022-08-25, 17:02 UTC Unfortunately this information is insufficient to analyze the problem.

You can find the option to create a log file by selecting menu option Configuration/Options and look under FTP.wgp wrote: 2022-09-02, 14:05 UTC Will do. Does TC create a log that I can send? I can't find one. Or should I send screenshots of the errors?
