Quick drive switching

Post by *Csimbi »

Hi all,
I would like to add this to the wish-list as well:
Hitting CTRL+ALT+<RightArrow> switches to the next available drive.
Hitting CTRL+ALT+<LeftArrow> switches to the previous available drive.
I think there was such thing in Dos Navigator.
Thanks.
Best regards: Csimbi

Yes, that feature was in DN (actually, it still is there I guess...)
I have such a feeling that we might see that feature in the near future.

Good news: There will be two new commands in TC 6.5:

cm_GotoNextDrive Go one drive up (C->D)
cm_GotoPreviousDrive Go one drive down

This will allow you to assign shortcuts to these commands.

I hope this will also work with drives mounted into directories
(I don't like to have 500 drive letters, a: and c: are enough)

No, it will not work with drives mounted into directories: You cannot easily enumerate them! Searching a tree of 10'000 or more dirs for a mounted drive would take a lot of time...
