Feature request - color labels
Hi
I'm afraid, thats little missunderstood.
Apple finder use color labels like flags, or atributes. Its something similar like rating in picture viewers like AcdSee. Not by stars, but by colors.
Its NOT only visualising folders, zips, aplications by diferent colors.
I gues its natural feature of MAC file system. Just another flag with 7 diferet states in oposit 2 states for hidden, or archive.
I use both, PC and MAC. For example, when I have some stuff to archive on PC I have to sort stuff to folders like <to burn>, <burned>, <not to delete> etc. On mac I use color labels to discover what to do with each other piece of stuff. And when situation is changed, I simply change the color label.
Its easy to use. Its easy to take in one second. Its extremely handy feature.
Its something what I miss on PC when I share both worlds, Mac or PC.
I can send some sreen shot. It say maybe more, than many words
Thanks
Schlus

I'm using comments for something similar: With Ctrl+Z, you can set a comment for a file. In the configuration, you can choose to copy such comments with files.
Now you can define a color filter which looks for a specific keyword in the comment, and if it's there, show the file with that color.

Nice!
Btw. Schlus, the way to do that is to go to options -> colors -> define colors by type (make sure it's checked) -> Add.
Then you want to define again, which will bring up a search box just like alt+F7. Go to the plugins tab (make sure it's checked at the top!) and then find the TC plugin for comment and then set the rules to your liking.
This would be even cooler if there were a built-in (no script necessary) way to add comments to multiple files/folders at once.
