Exit confirmation if F3 media player is running

Post by *miskox »

Is there an option to have TC ask for confirmation if I want to quit it and when (for example) music is playing via F3 media player?

Thanks.

No.
In my case the running MPC-HC player is not disturbed in any way from the TC exit.

Choose an other player, all of them are better than the internal one.

I select some .mp3 files and listen to them. I don't need other functions at all so internal/built-in player works for me.

But any external player will continue to run if TC quits.
My player MPC-HC also plays mp3 and not only videos.

There is such a possibility when using TWinKey.
TwinkUtil.exe > Miscellaneous > Check Open Listers on Exit

You can start Lister (the build-in media player) as a standalone process.

You can for example use this button:

Code: Select all

TOTALCMD#BAR#DATA
%COMMANDER_EXE% /i="%COMMANDER_INI%" /S=L
%Z %P%N
%COMMANDER_EXE%,24
Lister (separate instance)

-1
To make the button:
1. Mark the text in the box here above (click SELECT ALL).
2. Copy it to the ClipBoard (press Ctrl+C).
3. Right click on TC's buttonbar and choose "Paste".
You can only open a single file this way.

@petermad: thanks. Will take a look (though I think I mentioned a long time ago: I prefer clean installation with no (or minimal changes) to the configuration (I only change: Layour: show drive buttons. Display: show hidden files, show system files and under sorting directories: Like files (also by time). And of course I only use internal .zip with compression 9. In this way I am not dependent on all the modules etc. when using someone else's TC (I work with lots of computers that other people use - and I installed a free version for one or two times a year I have to do something)).
