cm_* tutorial

Post by *miskox »

I searched TC's help and forum. Can't find any tutorials regarding cm_* internal commands.

I can view totalcmd.inc but I would like to have more info (how to use them, what parameters/switches they accept etc.)).

Any guides/utorials/reference manuals for this (maybe a sticky post and/or a .pdf?

Thanks.

You can open the command browser and press F1 which gives you more info about cm_x commands with parameters.
(The Command Browser can be accessed via the Command Browser button (a small button with a magnifying glass on it) available in various dialogs, or via the cm_CommandBrowser command.)

You probably already know about the Help page "Dialog box: Configuration - Change button bar" which gives you help about the non cm_x commands.

Another reference is the wiki page List_of_internal_commands. (generally doesn't give you more info, but things may be described differently)

If no one can find this, it's useless:

Try to search the forum for cm_* using the forum search tool.

Thank you all. Yes, forum search ignores these words/characters.

What's so funny? If you enter cm_* into the search field, you get the answer below.

Information

The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: cm *.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.

:D

a - I did no search myself
b - I even had shown a better search alternative
c - I had provided the result of such a search, which was the purpose of this tread, but without notice of others as it seems

:D

To make it clearer:
my post above was an answer to the second quoted sentence in that post.
