Copy .url file from PC to Android

A file with extension .URL can not be copied to Android, using TC and USB.
Same situation trying to use using Win Explorer to copy the .url file.
I assume both use MTP protocol? So either it is part of the
MTP protocol or the way Windows handles .url files?
Copy from Android to PC works.

I cannot confirm this.

You don't write whether you are using TC for Windows on the PC, or you are using TC for Android on the Android device (using the LAN plugin) - but I have tried both and can copy .url files in both directions between Samsung Galaxy S20 Android 13 phone and Windows 7 and Windows 10 PS's

Interesting that you can do this. In my case, I use TC on PC, no ADBplugin.
a) using PC TC to copy to/from Note 9 Android 10 (and S21, Android 12):
copy .url file from PC to Android: not ok - copy .url file from Android to PC: ok
b) same situation using Explorer on PC to copy from/to Android device.

I think it is a Windows thing, same like Explorer does not display the extension for .URL files
and certain other specific extension (while other are visible using "display extension for know types").
