deleting in branch view displays double question
when I put branch view (ctrl+b) and select more files that come from different folders, I press delete, it asks me first if I want to delete to trash, I press yes, it doesn't delete yet, but the second time it asks if I want to delete the files and when I put yes, only then it deletes. It deletes the files to the trash. Is there any significance to asking me twice? That second question doesn't mean that the files are permanently deleted? What is the meaning of the second question? Is it a mistake or is it intentional? If it has no meaning, then perhaps asking only once would be enough.

Re: deleting in branch view displays double question
I'm only getting one delete request here on Windows 11. Anyone else with this problem?

Re: deleting in branch view displays double question
in the same list in branch view, if i delete files which come from the same folder (or different subfolders of same folder), it asks me once, but if i select files which come from different folders (different from first level), it asks me twice. I see such rule, maybe the rule is not just right. win 8 and win 10 same behavior.
first question is: do you really want to move the 2 selected files/directories to the recycle bin?
second question is: do you really want to delete the 2 selected files/directories?

Re: deleting in branch view displays double question
Is it possible that the files you want to delete don't fit into the recycle bin? Do you have delete confirmation in the Windows recycle bin enabled? Check by right-clicking the F8 button in TC's function key buttons and selecting properties.

Re: deleting in branch view displays double question
I confirm under W10 21H2 x64, TC 10.52 x64, fresh.ini.
"Display delete confirmation dialog" is off for drive C: in the Recycle Bin properties.
Create:
C:\x\a\1.txt
C:\x\b\2.txt
Go to C:\x\
Ctrl-B, Num*, Delete
First dialog appears, press Enter, second dialog appears, press Enter, files are deleted.

Re: deleting in branch view displays double question
I still can't reproduce it here. Does it show the Explorer style dialog or the internal Total Commander dialog?

Re: deleting in branch view displays double question
That sounds like the first delete operation to recycle bin failed, and then TC tried to delete the files directly.
Are the two files in recycle bin after that, or are they gone completely?
