Greetings all:
Questions when using the built-in unpacker:
1.) Can the "unpack specified files from archive to" folder be configured to automatically pickup the actual folder/pane where the archive is located? Mine always shows the downloads folder.
2.) Can the option to "unpack each archive to a separate subdir" be permanently set to yes?
I've just been using the right-click context menu for 7-zip, but it's annoying to have to first hold-down the Ctrl key to get the context menu to show. Checking in to see if the built-in unpacker might suit my needs.
Thanks.

To unpack to the current folder in the current panel, just press Delete (deletes the name of the suggested folder) before you click OK to unpack.
TC always suggest to unpack to the folder in the opposite panel - not always the downloads folder.1.) Can the "unpack specified files from archive to" folder be configured to automatically pickup the actual folder/pane where the archive is located? Mine always shows the downloads folder.

No.2.) Can the option to "unpack each archive to a separate subdir" be permanently set to yes?
What makes you think you have to do either of those things? To unpack a .7z file either press Alt+F9 of press Enter or Ctrl+PgDn to open the archive and then select the files you want to unpack (with F5).I've just been using the right-click context menu for 7-zip, but it's annoying to have to first hold-down the Ctrl key to get the context menu to show. Re: 2 unpacker questions - default location and always create subdirs
Thanks for the info. Hadn't thought about the destination folder being the other open panel. I also found today that I can just change from the older NC to windows click and no longer need to press CTRL-right click. Such an amazing tool. Learn something new all the time.

Why would you even press Ctrl - right click? With NC way of selecting, you hold right mouse button a little (configurable) longer to open the context menu. With Windows way of selecting the context menu appears immediately on right click. No need for Ctrl in any case.no longer need to press CTRL-right click

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
