Hi, this question is for beta testers for the new TC (if there are any) or to Christian.
This is regarding the noreread=\ and the Locked tabs being reset when TC starts (if the locked tab is pointing to a network drive) previously mentioned here: http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=2392 and here http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=29909#29909. So is it 'fixed'/solved in the new version (please, pretty please)
Cheers.
A bug/'misfeature' since tabs introduction.

Locked tabs pointing to drives which are in noreread will be reverted to c:\ if the tab is the active tab, this will not change also in TC 6.5. Why? Because re-reading such drives could be very slow, it could prevent the starting of TC. This is not hypothetical, it's the main reason why I added the noreread line: Some people complained that when they left TC with a drive which was no longer available when restarting TC, TC would hang for several minutes in their large network.

Hmm, would it at least be possible to add an option to .ini that would enable to override this behaviour for locked tabs? The logic for this is that since I set it as a locked tab it should remain pretty permanent, I use noreread for network because I don't need it ti reread, but I want my locked tabs to remain locked to the location I set...
Thanks.
Thanks.
All in all, I think it's wrong that a locked tab's path is changed, IMO it should at least open a new tab that points to C: and just leave the locked one as it is.
Please Christian, that thing bugs me to no end, and for the life of me I can't understand why nobody else mentioned it... am I a that weird?!
Cheers.

Well, the problem is that at the time TC checks the current dir, tabs aren't even loaded, so TC knows nothing about the locked status. Therefore it would be very difficult to handle this situation.
