I am having the following setup:
- Win 10, 64 Bits
- Total Commander 10.50 with cloudplugin
- OneDrive with two drives, one for my documents and one for a company Sharepoint
I can open, edit and (auto)save the files (usually Office documents) on the company SharePoint IF I use the (painful) Windows Explorer. But when I open the same file using TC, then:
- the apps marks the file as "saved my own PC"
- auto save is disabled
- when I enable auto save, I can only save to my own OneDrive
What's the problem here? How can I fix it?
OneDrive files behave different when opened with TC

Re: OneDrive files behave different when opened with TC
To begin with, check if your Total Commander is not being run as administrator.
If so, try to open Total Commander without the privileges.
OneDrive is known to be demanding regarding that account.

Hm, I usually run TC with admin rights.
Did I get you right, OneDrive wants me to run it without admin rights?

Re: OneDrive files behave different when opened with TC
TC with administrator rights would start its child processes (e.g. Word application when you open a Word document) fully elevated as well.
Such elevated applications (TC itself and its children) are losing access to some functionality within and some options would behave differently within OneDrive.
Apparently, the AutoSave option behavior is one of them.

Re: OneDrive files behave different when opened with TC
Thanks for your help. That solved my problem.

Re: OneDrive files behave different when opened with TC
You're welcome. That's great.
NB From a bit advanced point that is because Windows often treats running "As Administrator" as a separate user. Therefore some limitations happen to pop up here and there with OneDrive in particular and elevated applications. Context menu content, icons, and now AutoSave option for documents...
By the way, you cannot even restart OneDrive itself as "As Administrator", then it would just explicitly declare something like this (an example of resetting and restarting OneDrive from the command line under elevated Total Commander):
Microsoft OneDrive:
OneDrive can't be run using full administrator rights.
Please restart OneDrive without administrator rights.

On more point.
Running TC all the time with admin rights prevents that little security Windows provides with the UAC
and is not necessary for daily usage.
