CD-R / RW

Post by *jasperwillem »

It would be great to have support for buring data CDs.

The program 'create CD' had the posibility to enable a CD as writeble disk.
With Total Commander I write to the disk.
But windows XP does not support the old version of this program. And newer versions have a wizzard only.

When it would be possible again, it is easyer to create a backup CD with copies of 'for example'; my documents. Something what is not possible with this wizzards is to select several documents to copy. Only by selecting every single item.

The wizzard from Ahead Nero and Windows XP haven't enough space to set all things the way I want it. Like the rename function, the funtion to copy and rename, to change a DIR on the data CD and more things I cant recall at this moment.

What are the possebileties? I dont know that. But I would enjoy a funtion like this. A function what is simple for data only.

Thanks.

CD-R

There is a Dutch TotalCommander-like file manager, called WinNC, that in its latest version is able to:

Extract CD's to WAV or MP3;
Compress WAV to MP3;
Create MP3 playlists;
Burn data CD's and data DVD's.

At times I am almost tempted to desert TCMD... :(

Could Mr Ghisler do something to prevent these regrettable temptations?

Damn, that plugin did really make my day. I bought the lite version instantly. But anyway, a built in burner would be the best.
Have been stuck on wincmd/tcmd since 1997
