Since I updated to Android 12 (MIUI Global 13.0.6), there are no more specific icons for the file extensions. Next to each file only a small gear wheel is displayed as an icon. Unfortunately, clearing the cache did not bring any success. Is this a bug or a MIUI problem? Is there anything else I could try (besides clearing all TC data)?
It sounds like you are using a launch helper app which catches each file association and then shows a custom chooser dialog. If this is the case, Total Commander will show the icon of that app instead of the app you choose.
TC now knows how to open (forward to a web browser) .url files. The Stuntzurl application can be uninstalled... However, .url files now do not have an icon.
How can an icon be set for .url? Perhaps by expanding Internal associations so that it is possible to associate only an icon with the (.url) extension, without associating a command/application (as is possible in TC for Windows)? Or come up with some other solution?
I associate some PNG icon with .URL files - OK... But what should I write/choose under "Command:"?
"Commander:com.ghisler.android.TotalCommander:.TotalCommander"... or "Browser:com.kiwibrowser.browser:com.google.android.apps.chrome.IntentDispatcher"... or leave the field empty (then only "&::" is entered?)... no matter what I put - the URL no longer opens from Total Commander, i.e. TC does not call the web browser.
I have TC v3.31 installed, perhaps this is fixed in newer versions?
