Steps to reproduce (with thinning enabled):
1. Alt+Down to show the list.
2. Right click on any item to show the context menu.
3. Move the cursor to the panel space, and click once. The context menu will go away, which is good.
4. Click again, and the list won't go away. This feels counterintuitive to me.
Surely this is kind of nitpicking. The Esc key will always do; or hover on another item and then click the panel space. But since the second step already involves a mouse operation, it may be better to continue with the mouse as smoothly as possible.
By the way, I become to appreciate the value of the newly designed directory history list, but not yet for the frequently used list... The static, manually configured hotlist still feels better.
