Re: exclude drive roots from favorites
Why? When using history thinning, Total Commander only counts folders where you either do something, or stay for more than 5 seconds (default value). Apparently you did use them. Btw, you can manually remove them with Shift+Del, but they will probably come back...

The fact of the presence of these root "folders" in most cases is not due to the fact that we go into them, but to the fact that we often, through the transition to the root - quickly move to another - really frequently used folder. Therefore, and where it would be more reasonable to exclude these roots from the list. So that you do not have to manually delete them all the time. User convenience!

Re: exclude drive roots from favorites
If you don't stay in the root, it will not be recorded (except if you have history thinning disabled).

It's not about standing there for a long time or not standing there - or if there's some option that would do something like that = cut those lines - we're just saying that for THIS NEW menu type - for the output section of frequently used directories - it makes NO sense to output those roots. Regardless - what a cool big rank they might have! Which could mean that we literally spend "hours" in these sections. THERE we can get easily and without the help of this menu.ghisler(Author) wrote: 2023-06-09, 09:03 UTC If you don't stay in the root, it will not be recorded (except if you have history thinning disabled).

Re: exclude drive roots from favorites
I see no need to exlude drive roots.
I never have the root of any disk in the history,
because I never need to go thru root to reach any sub-dir.
There is the hotlist or Everythings Jump to folder to reach any dir in seconds.

It seems to be very logical - you don’t go there, you don’t have these records, you use another tool for quick "jump to folder"... Well, yes - it’s understandable - that you don’t have to delete non-existent ones. We only talk about those who can GET these records & who HAVE them really appear;)

Option to Remove Root Drives in History List
Currently visited root drives show up in the new history list.
If your interface shows the drive buttons that would be a waste of space, since it is easier to quickly click on a drive in the drive button area than to open the history list.
Therefore I would suggest to have an option to not show root drives in History. That would make the great improvements in History even more useful and easier to navigate.
The cream on the cake would be to have additional items when right clicking the drive buttons like in the history list, namely "Open in New Tab", "Open in Other Panel", "Open in New Tab in Other Panel".
